Top 3 Spring Cleaning Tips: Marketing Edition

Apr 08, 2019 - Maggie Bakle

Spring has sprung! It’s time to go through your closets and drawers, declutter and renew. This trend isn’t just great for your home, but for your marketing strategy as well. Don’t know where to start? Kick start your deep clean with the items below.

1. Email lists

Email marketing platforms, like MailChimp or Constant Contact, are great to support new business, distribute newsletters, and increase brand awareness. Because they’re so useful, it’s pertinent to make sure your email lists are clean and up-to-date. Scrub your lists of any duplicates or invalid addresses.

2. Update your libraries

Take a look at your recent photo and video library. Is it time for an update? A photo speaks a thousand words, and video says so much more. Because of this, it’s important to keep your libraries updated and relevant. Move older images into a folder and call your marketing agency to refresh your library with a photo and video shoot.

3. Social media strategy

What’s hot and what’s not in social media is always changing. Recently, Facebook video banners have become the next big thing, and its algorithm has changed to favor posts from users’ family and friends over businesses. Content now needs to build relationships, not just sell. Clean off the cobwebs of your old strategy, take a good look at your social media’s analytics, and reduce, reuse, recycle. Maybe you can even use the platform to help refresh your email lists and share your new photo library.
